Customer Review: This new CD from Buddy Guy is outstanding. Not only his talent but the people he uses to complete the selection of songs is worth every penney!
Customer Review: This is not a serious BLUES ALBUM. It is fun to listen to......but I exspected a much more serious SONG SELECTION for these 2 great singers. The "TITLE SONG", is some-what of a joke song. The song "DAY's OF OLD", just doesn't sound like blues. And "I WANNA BE", sounds almost like a rock ANTHEM. The... more info
Customer Review: There are fine reviews of this CD, some with historical background,. others, with an appreciative ear, most know better, esp. more than me. I would only suggust that Jr. Wells, Buddy Guy, Jack Myers, oughta try to get reparations from Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Siegal-Schwall Band, Electric... more info
Customer Review: There is a huge amount of Muddy Waters-compilations out there, and while MCA/Chess's two-disc, 50-track "Anthology 1947-1972" is certainly more definitive than this Geffen compilation, it does offer a very good overview of Muddy Waters' career. Opening with the classic 1948 single "I Can't Be... more info
Customer Review: I lived the 90's, this is the BEST and FEW ( IF any ), albums made that a FAMILY ( kids and adults ) could listen to. This is the best album of the 90's. BB KING is 10 times better now then in the 50's. And the work he is putting out is 10 times better then any-band on earth. WHY, don't no. The man... more info

Customer Review: Score one more for Rhino. This label really does know how to find obscure cuts and bring them into standout various artist collections. The only gripe I could have is this disk sounds a bit monaural in a mix, but I'll still use it--it's fun to mix up a little blues with the typical sugary Christmas... more info
Customer Review: "Stop" never fails to get me, no matter how many listens. Same thing with "Albert's Shuffle", w/ or w/o horns. All in all, a brilliant album.
Customer Review: Picture yourself in a crowded juke joint or blues bar on the southside of Chicago in the late '40's. Muddy Waters is about to play. He's already gone electric; I mean, he had to, to be heard over all the talking and yelling and what not. His harp player has about blown out a lung trying to be heard... more info
Customer Review: I am amazed that this cost so little, but was SOOOOO good. Sonnny Boy II is (IMHO) the better of the Sonny Boys. A lot of people will justifiably rave about his skill on the harp, but do not let that distract you from his vocals. This performer has a tremendous voice.
