Customer Review: Score one more for Rhino. This label really does know how to find obscure cuts and bring them into standout various artist collections. The only gripe I could have is this disk sounds a bit monaural in a mix, but I'll still use it--it's fun to mix up a little blues with the typical sugary Christmas... more info
Customer Review: This album has a collection of the blues' genius with other great talents; and lovely performances with Norah Jones, James Taylor, Willie Nelson, B.B. King, Van Morrison. My favorites are: "sorry seems to be the hardest word" with Elton John, and" Do I ever cross your mind" with Bonnie Raitt. A... more info
Customer Review: I love this CD! It was recommended by "June Bug" on his Saturday morning Blues Kitchen show on KKFI (a public radio station in Kansas City). I ordered it after Christmas but it still kept the spirit going through January. Lots of great bluesy tracks.
Customer Review: I was referred to this soundtrack by a friend who knew I was looking for obscure, old-timey American music. Though I'm not a fan of "Deadwood", some of the music was quite fetching. Also included on this soundtrack are sound clips from the series which, while they are quite vulgar, are also very... more info
Customer Review: This astonishing collection sounds great but I do have a gripe or two. For one, where's "Li'l Liza Jane" and for another, I would have loved to have heard a live version of Hank's Jambalaya 'cause Fats rips the song up live.
The omission of "Liza" is especially glaring since it was recorded... more info

Here are 16 tunes performed by artists currently employed by Alligator Records, an independent blues label started up in Chicago in 1971 by one Bruce Iglauer, who began what is now one of the top indie operations on... more info
Customer Review: I have some Fats Domino 45's and had not seen any cd's in the stores. I am very happy to have found his cd's at Amazon. This cd has some songs I have not heard, but it also has some that I really like.
Customer Review: They key difference between this single CD hits collection and the earlier "My Blue Heaven" is that this one uses the sped-up versions as originally released. "My Blue Heaven" and the ACE singles compilations present the songs restored to correct pitch as performed but not released. For those that... more info
Customer Review: My father bought this LP when I was 15 and played it on his Heath Kit stereo. It wowed us then and it still does. I set up my old record player just to play this album this Christmas and it was worth it! I've bought a ton of Christmas albums over the years, trying in vain to find something as good... more info
Customer Review: This is a collection of Christmas songs by performers who recorded for Alligator Records in 1992. Alligator Records is a blues label, so all of these performers are blues musicians. These are very good Christmas blues songs. My personal favorite is "Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin'" by Tinsley Ellis,... more info
