Customer Review: It tells you how the car works, but not really. It is for beginners trying to get learn something in autoshop, or learning about it in college and have no idea, or any idea about a car. If all you know about a car is how to drive it then this book is good to get, as a stepping stone.
Customer Review: Very detailed and well done !!

Customer Review: This is an excellent resource on how to make air cooled vw engines reliable, and go faster. I've been wrenching on bugs and buses for years, and if you can only afford one resource (besides the factory manual) this is the one.

Unfortunately very little remains useful for someone in 2008.
