Customer Review: Eva Cassidy has the most amazingly soulful and dead on pitch during her performances. I find it hard to believe that her perfect timing and pitch could conquer the likes of being recorded live. I highly recommend this album - the perfect blend of upbeat and mellow tracks to enjoy.
Customer Review: This cd/DVD set of Loreena McKennitt's performance in the beautiful and mystical Alhambra is indeed very special for her fans as well as newcomers to her enchanting voice and unusual instruments. Applause time is minimal with more time for the music, which is clear and lovely. The DVD and optional... more info
Customer Review: Probably one of the top three most essential Bob Dylan recordings of all time. You know the legend, you need the music. The second CD is so confrontational and powerful you'll rock out on it over and over, probably for the rest of your life if given half the chance.
Customer Review: Heard an excerpt of Odetta's singing on NPR and got so excited I bought two CDs. Unfortunately there was nothing on the label to warn me that "the Essential Odetta by Odetta" was a recording of a live concert. There is nothing more annoying on a CD than to have to listen to enthusiastic and... more info
Customer Review: As of late I have been railing against various secondary Bob Dylan materials that are mainly of historical interest. In those cases I was describing my reactions to a two-disc set "The Basement Tapes" of about twenty songs and another five volume set entitled "The `Genuine" Basement Tapes of about... more info
Customer Review: Bob Dylan is a genius, but this sh#t is sh#t. Pales in comparison to both the bootleg series concerts from 1964 and 1966. In Rolling Thunder, what's with all the shouting lyrics? Too self-indulgent with his voice and musical arrangements. Plus bland generic 70's rock-style sound from the band. Very... more info
Customer Review: Coming off of the harrowing power of their lamenting "Tonight's The Night", Neil Young and Crazy Horse later proved their tenacity with this clever concept album. It's interesting how the spirit of rock and roll can be captured by merely turning up the distortion for each consecutive track, until... more info
Customer Review: I love Harry Chapin and this is a great album, but be warned that this CD version is not the full album. It's missing two cuts: Love is Just Another Word, and She is Always Seventeen. I bought this to replace a cassette tape I have had forever and noticed that the number of tracks didn't match. Then... more info

Customer Review: Yes, it is a shame they found they needed to edit out some material. But if anything, they could of knocked out 'Tonights the night'... never did like that song and I always thought the track was a let down to the album ending. Otherwise a brilliant live compilation and recording. Actually always... more info
