Customer Review: I have a PS3, so I'm already knee deep in the blu-ray experience. I wanted to get a standalone player for the bedroom, so I did a great amount of research. I had it narrowed down to 2 players: The Panasonic BD35 and this player. In the end I picked the Sony because of the price ($189 black Friday)... more info
Customer Review: I recently purchased the Samsung BD-P 1500 Player. I was very impressed with it's video and audio output. The unit is very user friendly and will recommend it to anyone who is contemplating purchasing a Blu Ray Player. You will not regret the investment.
Customer Review: This is from the perspective of a non-expert in home theater with fairly limited equipment. (46" Samsung 720p DLP TV and a 2-channel low-end audio receiver). Setup using an HDMI cable was very quick and easy. The instruction manual is clear and easy to follow, but the nuances of configuration can... more info
Customer Review: The price is right and this DVD player is easy to use and set-up. The buttons are easy to reach and self-explanatory. The image is large and clear and the sound can be turned up pretty loud. There was a slight distortion in claritiy if it was too loud, but all-in-all, this is a great DVD player. The... more info
Customer Review: I used a PS3 as my blu-ray player for the past year because of it's compatability the with most BD titles. I was waiting for Profile 2.0 players to hit the market. The BDP-S550 setup was simple and smooth. I have not found a title that it will not play. The price is still too high, as with all BD... more info
Customer Review: Yes, you have to update the firmware if you want to watch Netflix. You can either connect online (which you would need to stream movies anyway) or use the included cd. We were up and running in 30 minutes (most of that was download time). We love it.
Customer Review: I live in Brazil and am on my way to NYC in a week and want to pick up a Blu-Ray. I am pretty much decided on either the 35k or 55k, for US100.00 it is worth it to get the 55k?
Also, here in Brazil we have a different region DVD (I think we are region 4 and the USA is region 1) but the same... more info
Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS DVD PLAYER. I HAVE HAD IT FOR 6 MONTHS. 90% OF THE TIME WHEN WE ARE WATCHING A DVD, THE PLAYER WILL EITHER STOP PLAYING COMPLETELY OR, MORE FREQUENTLY, SUDDENLY THERE WILL BE NO SOUND. I HAVE TO STOP THE PLAYER, OPEN THE DRAWER AND/OR CHANGE THE SETTING FROM NORMAL TO PROGRESSIVE AND... more info
Customer Review: We bought this dvd because it was the cheapest multizone dvd. Indeed, sometimes when you try to save money you end up losing money. It took me some time to find the code for removing the zone limitations, but I finally managed it. However, after a while I noticed scratches on some dvds. I was unsure... more info
Customer Review: This DVD player is excellent when paired to a good HD tv. The video Quality is very near that of Blue Ray. The only negative thing I have to say is that the remote response and menu navigation is very slow. Though, this is very tolerable given the quality of the picture. Over all, I would buy this... more info
