Customer Review: In left tackle terms this book was a pancake. I can't believe it took me so long to buy this book and read it. During the past year I have passed this book over on numerous occasion instead choosing a number of different titles including "Meat Market". If anyone is out there faced with a similiar... more info
Customer Review: I found the book to be useful in explaining the types of plays, and the theory behind the plays. It also helped me learn the names and functions of the positions. However, that doesn't translate to being able to tell what's going on when I watch a television game, unless they show replays,... more info
Customer Review: Very good book. If your interested in football (i.e. soccer) this covers everything. There are some slow parts but not that many and that could be attributed to not growing up with the sport. Great read but I think only if your really into football.

Customer Review: This is a wonderfully nostalgic group of vignettes and reflections. At times, the writing is quite poignant. This will resonate with long-time soccer (futbol) aficionados, who know the history of the game. Younger readers will be lost in some of the allusions and will not know some of the players.
Customer Review: Hornby's novel has a timeless feel to it. Even though it captures key moments from his coming-of-age and experiences supporting Arsenal, the story could be about any supporter supporting any club. There is something about the novel that makes the reader feel that this novel will probably be relevant... more info
