Customer Review: This is the WORST book to read if you are pregnant. It feeds into the fear culture that unfortunately surrounds birth today. I received several of these when I was pregnant the first time and now that I am a seasoned mom of 2 and a childbirth instructor-- I won't even give these away for fear... more info
Customer Review: I was told that "Are You There, Vodka..." was hilarious, so I bought both books. I haven't as yet read that one, but after reading "Horizontal", I'm not making this book a priority. Disappointing. Also, unsettling to read about someone quite gifted living such a pathetic and skanky life.
Customer Review: As the old song goes, being "rich as Rockefeller" does one no good, except perhaps if one of the Rockefeller clan happens to be a personal friend....and then it can really make a difference between life and death. Customer Review: After reading this book, there is so much more to Barabara than just the talk shows she has done over the years. This bring her up front and personable. Almost like the View and all the other jobs she has had. Barbara is a woman ahead of her time. She is to be congratulated.

Customer Review: On the basis of a news story about Zora Neale Hurston, I bought Their Eyes Were Watching God before learning at a preview of Harlem Renaissance art that Bakersfield had chosen this novel for 2009's Big Read. Once I adapted to Hurston's vernacular, the story moved swiftly and most compellingly... more info
Customer Review: This is a great book to read when you are pregnant. Funny, yet informative, it tells you information you need and want to know in a girlfriend-type manner. I read it through a few times during my first pregnancy, and again during my second!
