Customer Review: I was told that "Are You There, Vodka..." was hilarious, so I bought both books. I haven't as yet read that one, but after reading "Horizontal", I'm not making this book a priority. Disappointing. Also, unsettling to read about someone quite gifted living such a pathetic and skanky life.
Customer Review: As the old song goes, being "rich as Rockefeller" does one no good, except perhaps if one of the Rockefeller clan happens to be a personal friend....and then it can really make a difference between life and death. That's part of what happened to the doyenne of one of America's premier families,... more info
Customer Review: This book blew me out of the water. From the first page it got my attention and kept it to the end. I was inspired my the lives of both men. The lessons learned and can be taught will be foever told in the story. I cried and laughed through out the book. A Must read for everyone.
Customer Review: With nearly eighty reviews at the time I write this, there probably isn't much more stellar insight that I can give, which hasn't already been given so much more eloquently. However, I will add my voice to the growing collection in appreciation for the amazing story and for the brave author. This... more info

Customer Review: John Adams The book was shipped with decent shipping time. It arrived before Christmas so everything was good. My husband loved it even though it was used. It looked like it was still in good shape. The content of the book is awesome!
Customer Review: i WANTED to like it more than i actually did. it was funny at first, but it had no legs. by the end of it, i just thought he sounded stupid. i gave it to my friend, and she thought the same thing. david sedaris is way funnier than stephen colbert, imo.
Customer Review: By all accounts, this should be a lousy book. The life story of a middle-aged, former substance-abusing, self-described SOB and good-but-not-great chef. In the hands of most people, this would be a rambling, uninteresting memoir that would never see the light of day. The fact that Bourdain pulls it... more info
