Customer Review: I ordered this magazine because I wanted good vegitarian recipes to try out. I was not prepared for all the anti-meat, anti-killing animals, and anti-anything except for vegitarianism. The recipes are great, the content and editorial junk is not.
Body + Soul from Body & Soul Omnimedia, Inc. Price: $14.95
Customer Review: This magazine has a nice look but I found it to be lacking in a whole lot of knowledge that I could use. I am not sure what the soul part represents. There is alot of new age ideas and organic articles but to be honest I am a little disappointed with this magazine.
Customer Review: I enjoy an occasional Oprah show. I am impressed with her generosity as a human being. However, this is not the magazine for me. It contains too many advertisements and rip-out cards. The subject matter is not interesting to me. I ordered this magazine for a year at just the cost of $2.00 for... more info
Customer Review: I applied for a Womens Health offer of 2 free trial magazines and 12 free gifts in June 2008. After numerous emails, I finally received my 2 free trial magazines (Sept and Oct 2008). I paid my yearly subscription. Since then I have received NO magazines. Never got the 12 "free" gifts either.... more info
Wired (1-year) from Conde Nast Publications Price: $10.00
Customer Review: I tried to return this (it was a gift but I then found out that the recipient was already receiving it). Got the run-around from both Amazon and Conde Nast (the publisher). I can't seem to get it canceled nor can I get a refund (I've now called both at least twice). Horrible.
Customer Review: This magazine used to be good...but now, it is boring...the interviews are boring...I don't even bother reading them, they seem to mainly just tell you a couple things about what the person they are interviewing is doing at the time...what they are wearing, and ask a few questions...I cancelled my... more info
Self (1-year) from Conde' Nast Publications Price: $12.00
Customer Review: I've been reading SELF for years, and it has helped me in so many ways. Unlike other fitness magazines, it encourages you to be proud of your size and work on getting healthy for YOU, not for the standards of models and actresses. The workouts are fun, and the tear-out cards are perfect to take the... more info
Customer Review: As a yoga instructor who works with "special needs" populations (limited mobility, chronic illness/pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, etc.), as well as a nursing (RN) student, I am so happy to see this book available. It helps illuminate the medical/therapeutic benefits of yoga practices, while... more info
