Customer Review: Does this sound like the '75 Mudcrutch? No. How could it, it's 2008.... I just wish Howie had lived to be a part of this project. If you love The Heartbreakers, you'll like this album.
Customer Review: The first time I was introduced to Lizz Wright was on the Sunday Morning show's music review. I was mesmerized. Her voice is raw emotion, sultry, and rich in tones. The Orchard is excellent, especially song #4 (Hey Mann) and #12 (Strange).
Customer Review: One of the best albums of 2008 if not the last 20 years. It kinda reminds me of the spirit of Billy Joe Shaver singing Robert Johnson songs backed by Roy Rogers. You gotta have this one in your collection.
Customer Review: We are fans of James McMurtry and feel this is one of his best. Topical lyrics, great backing band, biting commentary, and all-out rockin!
Would highly recommend.
Customer Review: I love this cd! I have been listening to it since I bought it. I didn't know who Hayes Carll was until I got this and his other cd "Trouble in Mind". I have become a big fan of his.
Customer Review: What's to say about Emmylou Harris. She is a national treasure and this album is outstanding and a statement of who she is. Thank you Emmylou!
Customer Review: What a talent for so many years - she continues to grow and expand her many talents -try to buy all her CD's you won't be dissapointed.

But he is definitely his own man -- by no means a Steve Earle imitator. I love the harkening back to Tin Pan Alley... more info
