Customer Review: This book is informative, but the title is not accurate. Inside this book the authors explain how an eczema sufferer can try to minimize eczema flare ups, which is important, yet they do not have the information to make someone free of eczema for life.
Customer Review: What she says makes sense and probably works for some people. However, I tried it and it didn't work for me. Looking at what she talks about, it doesn't seem like it would hurt to do and that's probably the bottom line with following any of the 'out of the medical community' cures.
Customer Review: This book focuses on the fungus aspect of eczema. Most natural health care practitioners will tell you that fungus is always present with eczema. Even the pediatrician we saw told us that fungus was always a problem when eczema was present. So she has a piece of the puzzle, the problem is it is only... more info
Customer Review: I have to say, this book is
quite hard to follow. But
once you do, you'll thank
yourself. I've suffered chronic eczema for
over 25 years. I've learned a lot.
And one thing is for certain: Changing or controlling behavior
is never easy, and to adopt this... more info
Customer Review: The author, Leo Galland, MD, was one of the first to conduct research into the connection between lack of healthy fatty acids and hyperactivity in children. Today he is a leading doctor for DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!). Although this book was published in 1989, it is a tribute to his farsighted... more info
Customer Review: This 250 page book is a valuable resource for any parent contending with infant eczema. I found the color pictures particularly helpful. Without it, I'm not sure that I would have had the courage to insist that our child be seen by a pediatric dermatologist. It turns out that he not only had eczema,... more info
Customer Review: I wasn't very happy with this book. I found a few helpful pointers, but overall the views were sort of extreme, and some of the advice was very contrary to what physicians have told us. If anybody I knew was reading this, I'd suggest they take it with a grain of salt and get several other viewpoints... more info
Customer Review: He does a good job describing the various reactions and problems a parent can have dealing with a child's food allergies. He overemphasizes the physician's role. It is the parent who has to look out for the child not the physician who sees the child every few months as a patient. He promotes the... more info
Customer Review: This book gives a little of everything and is a terrific reference for any allergy family.
Particularly good information on outgrowing, research, and getting your child settled in school. The recipes are not the best, but everything else is top notch.
