No BASS! hollow sound, stiff cord, extremely uncomfortable!:
My title pretty much concluded all my dissatisfaction toward this set of earphone.
Critics always starts with the positives: nice packaging, stylish design of the earbuds, glossy finish and translucent white ear tips, look very nice. But the positives ends here.
First putting on the earphones, I noticed how stiff the cords are, so if you touch the cord anywhere above the Y junction, it'll directly effect the earbuds. either pushing it upwards, or moving it around because the cord is almost... more info
alright headphones.... not for money:
I got these as a christmas gift and so far have not been impressed. They are very comfortable in your ear, as you can hardly feel them. On the other hand, they do not stay in my ears very well. I have tried all three different sized buds extensively and have seen no improvement. They stay in alright if you are moving very little, but if you plan on running with them like i did, plan on having them constantly falling out. In terms of sound quality, they are decent. Underwhelmed - my ears must just be too small...:
I was very happy to get a good deal on the MetroFi 170's after reading many, many product reviews that ranked them as good as, or better than, more expensive models. But after having them for awhile I am just plain underwhelmed. My first issue is mainly one of physiology - I must have a very narrow ear canal because I simply cannot get a comfortable fit with even the smallest of the slip-ons. They always feel like I am forcing them in and then just don't want to stay put, like they are pushing... more info
Good Earphones, Needs a Few Minor Improvements:
Overall, these earphones are very nice. They are comfortable, well constructed, and have nice styling. Some suggestions to the manufacturer would be to make the cord a little less rigid and to make the marker that identifies the right ear more visible (the red is very hard to see... white might work well). If you are in the market for a comfortable set of earphones, but don't want to spend a ton then I would be very comfortable recommending these.
