I'm not a professional photographer, I use my camera as a hobby. This is the first major upgrade in a digital camera for me in ten years. Yeah I know, I know. But I waited until the right camera, with the right amount of megapixels for the right price came out. I don't like buying gear every three or four years becuse I just want to have it. All I can say is WOW! This camera has done everything I want it to do and more. The picture quality is absolutely amazing. There are so many creative things you can do with this camera especially when you incorporate the hd movie mode which I have to say isn't as bad as I had thought although if you move it from one side to another too fast it will look sloppy. excellent entry into the DSLR world:
This is my first "real" camera from the world of point and shoot cameras. I finally made the jump when I discovered that my trusty panasonic lumix could not keep up the antics of my [...] son.

It makes me a better photographer:
I am a novice photographer. This camera is so easy to use and produces such high quality pictures that it has made me seem like a much better photgrapher than I rightly deserve . I can usually find areas of single picture that has interest but not always the whole picture. Because of this camera, I can enhance those areas and create a good photograph from a mediocre one.
