Winner of the 2007 Tony Award! Sweeping all the major theater awards for Best Revival of a Musical, a beloved era-defining classic is stunningly reinvented in this powerful Broadway production, featuring an explosive starring performance by Raul Esparza. Set in modern upper-crust Manhattan, Company is a funny, sophisticated exploration of love and commitment as seen through the eyes of a charming perpetual bachelor questioning his single state and his enthusiastically married, slightly envious friends. With a wise and witty Stephen Sondheim score including "Another Hundred People," "Side by Side by Side," "The Ladies Who Lunch" and "Being Alive," Company offers musical comedy at its finest.

Company:
I saw this on PBS (?) and hardly recognized the show. It was very dismal.
When is this greatest of shows going to be made into a film that captures the original? Why must people think they have to update or modernize
this show? Having been 14 at the time of the OBC, I related to this score completly as an awkwardly and severly Catholic teen. The show helped me grow up, cope and open my eyes to an ironically real world that escaped Bobby. I could not go to New York to see it and my family would... more info
Incredible DVD, Great Price, Great Service!:
I watched the performance of "COMPANY" on PBS months ago and quickly bought the CD. I decided I could not live without the DVD and I don't normally buy DVDs of any type.
Make sure you buy THIS version as I purchased the wrong version the first time and it only showed the actors working in the studio not the stage version.
LOVE IT!!!
A definitive production of a Broadway classic...:
The Blu-ray rendition of Stephen Sondheim's, COMPANY is a jewel of a production. Not only are the video and audio worthy of blu-ray and true high def - but the performances, concept and photography are first class. This is a musical that never had a wide audience due to its quirky approach, lack of a recognizable plot and sparse productions across the country. Having said this, COMPANY never received its due as the quality piece it is. This blu-ray production is perhaps the definitive COMPANY and what the... more info
Performances A+. Show C+.:
The point for having the performers sing, act AND play instruments is lost on me. They look a bit foolish carrying and playing these musical instruments on stage. Is it to be cheap? Well, that is cheating the audience. However, their work in singing is first rate. Excellent actors (except the lead) staged badly and one truly boring set to look at for 2 hours. I blame the director for the minuses. The lead, Raul Esparza, is very good, not great. Any of the rest of the cast is better. The songs go from GREAT... more info
