Just stopped playing.:
This player just stopped playing after about two years, I didn't use it that much for it to be woren out. I 've got older players and they still work fine. I got this brand to match my new TV. I will never buy another one of it's kind.
Samsung DVD player & Samsung TV don't go well:
I have Samsung 32" LCD TV. While purchasing DVD my obvious choice was to pick up a Samsung DVD player. I regret that idea, each time you play a DVD one of the following happen 1. image quality is lost..I get black n white(inspite of using HDMI cable)
2. Picture either hangs or repeats itself in quick succession

Dead in 12 months:
Bought this product last thanksgiving (2008). Responds slowly to remote commands. Picture quality on my 32" Samsung LCD TV was great. I used it sparingly over the next 12 months. Played DivX encoded movie just great, but then stopped playing my DVDs altogether. Labor and parts warranty have expired, and it costs $80 to fix. Very unreliable -- wouldnt recommend buying a samsung DVD player.
Same as others. Broke after 11 Months:
Broke 11 months after purchase. Samsung clearly created this as a disposable product. Disappointing to say the least. Was always VERY slow and picky with disks.
