Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

I own this LCD TV for over 2 months now and its been excellent. The HD movies and games are great to watch on 120hz. The DLNA feature is good to watch movies and photos. Simple to install the s/w and works well.

Bought this tv 2 weeks ago. Awesome picture, especially with a little calibration. You can do it yourself, just search www.avsforum.com. I see the halo, but it's not a problem for me. You can call Samsung to have the bezel replaced. The on/off issue is a thing of the past. The free blu-ray was a bonus too and works just fine. Take the white glove service with a grain of salt.
