While this does offer a few reliable features like the UV light, etc., I agree with other reviewers about the inconvenience of the loud noise and the bright lights. I used this model in my bedroom and had to tape cardboard over the illuminated controls because their bright blue light was driving me nuts and making sleeping more difficulty (the exact opposite of what I bought the humidifier for). Lasted 1 week:
It worked great for a week, but then displayed an error code (ER3) and stopped working. I called customer service, and they immediately said I should return it. They didn't even try to have me get it repaired. They said the hygrometer wasn't working. It seems it had never worked correctly, but the unit managed to keep humidifing for a week. I exchanged for another humidifier, but a different brand altogether.
It lasts less than one month:
Don't buy this junk. I bought it because cheaper one died in a few month, so I really need reliable one. Eventually this machine does not much my reqirement.
I don't want spoil the envirment anymore.

This humidifier (and I have TWO of them) CONSTANTLY shut themselves off and go to an "Error" display regardless of which outlet I plug them into. Hope I can return them and I wish I could rate this with zero stars!
