Good battery:
This battery did good job as what is on its specification.
The battery came with camcorder will be my backup.
This is the battery that every Canon HF11 user must have.
Best of the three options:
The BP-819 gives about 3 hours of battery life to the HF11. This is much better than the 809 and its size is not too bad. It sticks off the back only slightly. the larger one might be nice for tripod shooting outdoors, but for typical everyday use, the BP-819 is a winner, not too big but much better battery life than the original.
Changed the shape of the camera:
The battery is great as far as the quality and length of recording time etc. HOWEVER, this battery changed the shape of the camcorder (it sticks out the back of the camcorder significantly), so much so that my normal comfortable grip was made impossible to do because I coudn't rest my thumb flat across the back of the camcorder anymore. original Canon Battery:
I ordered this battery as a backup for my camera but it turned out the other way around. This battery last about 3 hours. Great for if you want to keep your camera on for extended events. This is not a knockoff brand. Its the real deal.
