Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Seminars: Year One delivers 2 BJJ black belt seminars on one disc in the inaugural year of the Roy Dean Academy. The Alaska Seminar was a birthday celebration for Robert Grunder of Gracie Barra Alaska. The subject of this clinic was a high percentage submission combination, and includes full length sparring with seminar participants. Summer 2007 is a tightly edited version of the morning seminar session in Bend, Oregon. Escapes, sidemount attacks, rear mount attacks, the armlock, triangle, and combinations into the triangle are shown. Jimmy DaSilva showcases both technical ability and a fighter s heart in the Purple Belt Test. Praised on YouTube as BY FAR, the SINGLE BEST grappling video on the internet, it is globally regarded as an inspiring demonstration of the athleticism, technical depth, and fortitude necessary for the rank. Requirements included mount and sidemount escapes, headlock escapes, takedowns and throws, submissions, combinations, and sparring 5 minute rounds with 2 blue belts and 2 black belts. In the Roy Harris Seminar, watch the 3rd degree black belt and impart his wisdom on maintaining open guard control, including specific places on how and where to push with your feet, knees, elbows, and hands. He also reveals counters to common guard passing scenarios posed by skilled opponents. With over 300 seminars taught globally, Mr. Harris effortlessly explains the techniques of BJJ and concepts that they rest upon. Westside Submission takes you deep into the Southern California BJJ scene as Roy Dean enters Chris Brennans classic round robin tournament as a purple belt. The Westside Submission Championship is known for attracting intense competitors from a variety of disciplines, as there are no rank divisions, only weight classes. Enjoy 5 straight submissions set to music, including a spectacular flying triangle in a match that epitomizes technique vs. strength. What Does Jiu Jitsu Look Like? is a BJJ commercial professionally shot in San Diego with Harris Academy members.

This has everything!:
Wow! This DVD is awesome. Better production quality than most every BJJ DVD on the market. It has good instruction as well as a little something to get just about anyone inspired. Honestly, if this video doesn't make you want to go out and join the nearest BJJ academy, nothing will. In addition to the inspiration, it is also a great tool for those wishing to extend their training to... more info
