The charger is fine but I wouldn't have purchased it if I had done my homework and realized that the GPS came with a charger already.

A home charger adaptor for any Navigon GPS unit:
This is your basic, no frills, home wall charger for use with any Navigon GPS unit. It allows you to charge your Navigon GPS unit's battery in your own home by inserting the receptacle end of the car charger cord into the wall charger and the other into the GPS. The GPS has an indicator light on it to let you know when it's fully charged. Without this home unit the only way to charge your GPS battery is to do it from your car. Need addition to our Navigon:
The wall charger for our Navigon is a nice tool for us. We can sit at the kitchen table and plan our routes on the Navigon without fear of running down the battery. That's exactly why we purchased it and that's exactly what it does. We use it all the time.
