Great GPS for the price:
This is a great buy! It works as well as the more expensive units I have tried. No problems so far!
It has outdated maps!:
This unit comes with 2005 maps from the manufacturer and MIO does not have map updates for this unit. Do NOT purchase this device if you intend to drive on any road that has been built since 2005. We recently went through South Carolina and the unit thought we were driving through fields when my atlas from Walmart had the roads on it.
Mio c230 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator - good device for a low price:
It's fast, you don't need to wait for satellite detection or for route recalculation. You only need to upgrade the software and the maps, because they are a little old - you're missing POIs and new roads. The possibility to add speed cams or red light cams is perfect for me. Also the capacity to read roads names is usefully. Highly recommend it.
Right price, poor performance...:
I bought this GPS based on the price and a couple positive reviews. After two weeks of use, it went back to the seller. A few of the more annoying points that led to the return: 1) This unit will sporadically "reboot" while in-use. This is VERY frustrating when you're driving down a busy interstate and your exit is less then a half-mile away.
