This things rocks! Works perfectly with my new Garmin 680. I love it! I was very pleased with the weight and the thing doesn't move. It's also very easy to unplug the unit from the 12v outlet and take the whole thing with you! Best $25 I've spent in a long while
It stays put:
The Friction Dashboard mount stays put, which is exactly what you want in a unit of this kind. Its four 'corners' contour to the shape of your dash so you could sit the unit at a slight angle and it will stay in place. It has a button for 'quick-release' which is a great assist when you want to remove the unit and take it with you. You can also adjust the arm to position your GPS to a pleasant viewing direction.

I own the Garmin Nuvi and was starting to get frustrated with the dashboard and windshield suction cup mount, no matter what i did it would fall off. A friend of mine even went so far to have Garmin send a replacement suction cup mount and continued to have nothing but problems with it coming off. I happened to see this on the Amazon website and i was a bit skeptical about it, but i must say that this friction mount for the Garmin is Outstanding! I'm going to be short and concise ,I just traveled about 3000 miles and this device is great , contrary to what some reviews said it did held up beautifully on my dodge,granted on some rough roads in mexico it did slide of position a little bit ,but even me I was sliding of my seat, all on all so worth it ..and like some one recommended if you need extra steadiness cut a little piece of foam mat ,I didn't need it ...good buy ,handy practical , thumbs up
