My son has a Garmin c340. He uses a Garmin AC wall charger # 010-10618-00 to charge his unit. I have the Garmin 255W GPS. I noticed that the plug-in port on each unit is the same. I emailed Garmin Support to see if I could use the 010-10618-00 to charge my 255W. They answered that "Yes, you can use the 0618 charger to charge the 255W". I have done so, and it works perfectly well. I'm glad I didn't purchase yet another corded item for use with my GPS. Just wanted to pass this information along. I realize... more info

Great product:
It is a great product to have. The new GPS requires so much from the battery. I always too my Garmin 350 for granted however I haven't used it for a while and it has still held its charge. I travel a lot and I have some games, however it doesn't take long to drain the battery. When I don't use it for a while and I turn it on the battery is gone and I have to depend on my car charge. This is great because of the international adapters. If you travel to different countries like I do it is a must!
