This vacuum works better than the Hoover that I spent three times as much to buy! Works great on wood floors and on my carpets. You have to assemble it and the screws used to hold the handle on fell to the bottom of the box and were very hard to find. Once they were in, handle is great. When I first used the hose on my stairs, I was a little confused b/c there is no lid over what looks to be the intake. It didn't matter though, everything went inside the bag as it was supposed to.
