A very good coffee maker.....efficent and reliable. The only complaint I have is once the time set for keeping the coffee hot expires (2hrs in my case), I cannot re-heat the coffee again. Because there is no new water going through the system, this coffee maker is programmed to go off almost immediately. However, I can set the timer to 3 or more hours. Otherwise, a nice machine.
Reliable Krups:
This model replaced our 17 year old Krups from our wedding. So the JR price made it hard to pass up, and we hope for another 17 years of life. A new feature that we don't like is that if we haven't finished the coffee after 2 hours and we turn it back on to keep the heating element on, it won't allow it to be turned on because there is no water in the resevoir. Lasted just over two years, with problems.:
I'll start by saying that we are coffee people; but also people on a tight graduate school budget. So I bought this Krups coffee maker to replace our Melitta coffee maker which worked (performing at an average level) for four years. We spent about fifty bucks for this Krups model in June 2007, and while I wasn't expecting a life-changing cup of coffee, this machine was frustrating from the start with its little idiosyncrasies. I have two of these coffee makers - one for office use, the other for home - and use them regularly. So far, no complaints - great coffee, reliable product.
