It helps to tighten your body, with very small movement, but it really works, but if you are heavy, it does not burn fat, it just tones.
Gentle, effective workout:
Before I had two children I worked out at the gym five days a week and did Pilates three days a week. I was very fit. However, I don't have that sort of time to devote to my figure anymore. Plus, my second daughter was large and after three months of physical therapy, my back still gives me problems. Other than ballet, this is the only workout I have found that does not put strain on my back. Even my beloved Pilates causes pain.

I love Callanetics, I think Callan has come up with an amazing toning program here and I have definitely seen a difference in myself. It doesn't have "open and close" though, that I liked from the book, but other than that I'm completely thrilled with it. Calanetics is the best workout I have ever come across. I discovered it 8 years ago and although I was in a major car accident with damage to my back, this workout made me strong from the inside out. I lost this disk and had to purchase it again.
