Easy to install. Compact and does not take up much space. Mounting for under dash is not that hard. Easy to use and set up.

Well worth the money and is really nice and compact. Built an overhead enclosure for it in my hotrod pickup and it really worked out nice.
Works, but quality control needs to be better:
My first unit had bad popping noises that came from a bad microphone connector on the unit. The 2nd unit I received did not have this problem, but when power is applied it starts on channel 33, the first unit was channel 9 which is what it should start on per the manual. So I really feel you could have some issue that is minor that your unit is not perfect. Also I attempted to use the unit without a microphone attached and it requires the microphone for the internal speaker to work, kinda a weird... more info

Midland 1001Z 40 Channel CB with Channel 9 Switch and PA Got this 3/17/08 and havent used it much but so far works great.I would recommend this to someone looking for a CB..
