How does one learn about a new (to them) hobby?:
I purchased the book in order to learn something about the hobby. It does seem to help although I agree with another review I read before purchasing the book that it is getting a bit dated. An update to the book is needed. However, this is the only book that I found listed on Amazon.com that covered the subject.

Out of date:
This was a pretty good book, but the information now is quite dated. LiPo batteries and brushless motors are the standard now, electrics have come a long way.
