BORING:
I like to finish books that I start. I haven't quite finished this one yet, and I'm having a REALLY hard time getting through it. I keep waiting for something to happen. I'm about 3/4 of the way thru it and nothing yet. This is a really boring book and nothing like Plum Island. I wish I had read the 1 star reviews before I purchased it.
I liked this book.:
Ok, truth be told, my wife bought this book at a used bookstore because it was purple and it matched some candle that she had. So, the book sat on its side in the bathroom for 2 years with a candle on it until one day when I needed something to read. No joke. I couldn't put the book down and loved the story. I'm a big mafia buff so the Don's involvement was fascinating to me. I'll definitely read more of DeMille's work.
Mary from Novi:
Boring at the beginning - but gets good in about the middle (and is great at the end). Not one of DeMille's best though.
One of the Greats:
As so many have already said, this is simply a great book and a must read for anyone seriously interested in nonfiction novels. Probably DeMille's best effort.
