SAP's FI/CO (Financial and Controlling) is the company's most popular package. This in-depth guide for implementers, consultants, and IS managers covers how to identify the business needs of the planned installation and then how to go about customizing the system accordingly. The book covers many topics not addressed in other books, including dealing with foreign currencies, and is up-to-date for version 4.X. The authors are full-time SAP consultants at a major insurance company.

Standard work but outdated:
I am a senior fico consultant in 6.0 and bought this book. I was dissapointed because all stuff was from 1998 version 4.6 as present i have to say its a waste of money and someone should write a new fico standard piece cheers rene
Excellent book - a must to have for FICO consultant:
This book still gives comprehensive understanding about core functionality of R/3 FI/CO module. The version does not matter because no matter which version you use, you can still figure out the changes and you can always find the screens and tabs since the transaction code has not changed. I would like to translate it in Japanese, too (may need some addition about local setting though).
It would be great if it covers a little more about Group chart of account, consolidation unit ('trading partner',... more info
Excellent book:
I bought this book years ago and still important in my day by day, I strongly recommend this boot, for beginers and also guys with large experience.
A must if you configure CO or FI:
Eventhough its R3 config, it is a very good guide for all the configuration, it has the functionalities in layman terms and could get you out of trouble on those "let me try to land your business case on the system and do some testing" or "let me check about it" swings with your customer or PM. ;-) also works great as a self defense weapon. PS: Does not tell you how to build the Origamy phoenix in the cover. :-S
