Great No-Nonsense Reference:
If you're cradling a crying baby in one arm and you need a straightforward answer about baby's health RIGHT NOW, this is absolutely the book you want to have within reach. It's got a great index and extensive information about childcare and infant health. Extremely Outdated:
We were given this by our pediatrician's office, and even our MD admitted it wasn't the most up-to-date publication. There is a lot of outdated information and unsubstantiated "facts," and it is not well organized. There are much better options out there. The AAP should be ashamed - or at least embarrassed enough to do an update.
Great Book:
I think this is a very good informative book. It explains things in a simple and understandable manner.
Not what I'd hoped:
This book is pretty general and its sections are broken up into newborn, 0-3 months, 4-7 months and so on. What I wanted was a book that talked about each month individually since baby's change and develop so much so quickly. This book is just too general for me. It does have good info, just not as much as I'd like.
