I read this book because I was at a loss for why my skin had taken a turn for the worse. I had always had healthy, radiant skin and all of the sudden I was getting breakouts, dry patches, oily patches, and noticeable sun damage despite my use of SPF 30 each day before putting on my makeup. A Sales Pitch:
This book is basically a sales pitch for the author's own line of skin care products. There is some good information in the book, but it could have been better organized and the author could have given more information about products available at the local drugstore instead of pushing her own products every other page.
Skin Workout:
The elbow test draws you into the book. I like that the authors makes a statement that they are not trying to push anything "that haven't been thoroughly tested" p12. This book talks about everything i.e. anti-aging creams, exfoliation, scar prevention for nicks and cuts, and skin cancer. There are topics for men too which is rare in topics discussing skin.
