Not Jillian's best:
Although I've never seen The Biggest Loser, I consider myself a JM fan. Unfortunately, this is not her best work. The book's divided into 3 sections--self, science, and sweat. The self part is ok, but probably would be better for someone who has never thought about getting fit before. There's plenty of pep talk in that section, plus ideas for how to handle healthy living pitfalls (friends who order nachos, thinking you don't have enough time, etc). Maybe I'm just getting old, but it's all stuff we've heard... more info

I love love love this book!It gave me the motivation I needed to start a food journal and be consistant with it, and get off my butt and start working out again. Jillian also gives tons of workout suggestions at the end, some things are on her workout DVD's but if you just want a quick session you can use the examples in the book. I highly recommend this book for any Jillian fan!!
Jillian is more than a trainer, she's a life coach!:

This is an approach to weight loss and health that forces you to look at the causes of the problems in your weight- gain and therefore gives you the foundation to keep the weight off. This book is positive and motivational, without over the top dieting methods, just Jillian giving advice on being smarter about your entire life every day. Great, well researched content. I was so impressed with my copy that I purchased another copy (because I wanted to hang on to mine) for a friend who was also embarking on a weight loss journey and had many questions.
